THE ZURICH IDENTITY

Classical precision.

Choreographic intelligence.

The Forsythe perspective.

Stacks Image 11324
ART of - Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich is an educational development programme for dancers from age 10 through professional level.

Small groups create time for individual correction, careful progression and real dialogue with the faculty. Classical ballet builds coordination, placement, musicality and strength. William Forsythe’s Improvisation Technologies form a central creative focus, giving dancers practical tools to explore space, geometry, articulation and choice. Voice & Speech classes add breath, rhythm, presence and confidence.

Younger dancers establish intelligent working habits; advanced and professional dancers deepen adaptability, efficiency and artistic independence. Repertoire may support the process, but it is not the defining centre of the Zurich programme.

A DEFINING ART OF CONNECTION

William Forsythe is part

of the working language

not a decorative name.

Stacks Image 11350
The ART of - Ballet Intensives are given with the kind support of William Forsythe.

In Zurich, Forsythe’s Improvisation Technologies and choreographic principles connect classical structure with spatial awareness, musicality, articulation and choice.

The purpose is not to replace classical technique. It is to deepen how a dancer understands it, organises it and can use it intelligently in today’s choreographic world.

This connection belongs to ART of’s artistic history and practice; it is not presented as a one-off celebrity masterclass.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

A Prix de Lausanne Partner Summer School.

ART of became an official Partner Summer School of the Prix de Lausanne in 2016 and continues to be listed among its international Partner Summer Schools for Madrid, Marseille and Zurich.

This partnership reflects ART of’s commitment to high-level training, individual artistic development and the preparation of young dancers for the professional dance world.

One ART of DNA

A distinct Zürich programme within one shared artistic vision.

Stacks Image 11554
ART of - Ballet Summer Intensive Zürich shares the commitment to serious training, individual attention and artistic curiosity that connects all ART of Ballet Intensives. Its own identity lies in small groups, close personal guidance and age-appropriate development for dancers from age 10 through pre-professional and professional levels.

Classical ballet forms the foundation, while Improvisation Technologies, creative movement exploration and Voice & Speech classes help dancers develop coordination, spatial awareness, expression and confidence. Zürich is not a copy of Madrid, Marseille or Dresden. It offers a carefully structured educational pathway in which every dancer can progress from their individual starting point.
