Who can apply?
Admission is based on the dancer’s age, technical level, training background and the available places within the appropriate group.
Each application is reviewed individually. Participants are placed in groups according to their level and experience to ensure focused and appropriate training throughout the intensive.
Professional dancers are also welcome to apply for the complete programme or selected professional training options.

Single-class participation is reserved for professional dancers and is limited to a maximum of three individual classes during the course.

A full working day.
The standard schedule runs Monday to Friday from approximately 10:00 to 17:00 and Saturday from approximately 10:00 to 14:00. Exact group allocations, studio assignments and faculty schedules may vary. A detailed participant schedule is normally sent approximately one week before the intensive.
The daily programme may include classical ballet, age-appropriate technical training, William Forsythe Improvisation Technologies, Voice & Speech, choreographic workshops, body awareness or yoga, and individual coaching.
Professional development through observation.
Observation Classes are designed for teachers, dance pedagogues, rehearsal directors, professional dancers developing their teaching practice and relevant dance or sport professionals.
Observers can focus on class architecture, exercise development, musical choices, correction language, level adaptation and the relationship between technical, artistic and physical development. Observation does not include permission to film or interrupt classes.

Accommodation is not included in the course fee and ART of does not operate participant accommodation. We strongly recommend booking early and checking cancellation conditions directly with the accommodation provider.
Hotel options can be searched via ART of HotelPlanner or booked directly with a hotel, hostel or apartment of your choice.
When choosing accommodation, we recommend considering the travel time to Tanzwerk101, Pfingstweidstrasse 101, 8005 Zurich.
Meals and drinks are not included in the course fee. Participants should arrange their own lunch and refreshments during the day. Information about available options at or near the venue can be provided before the intensive.
For participants under 18, accommodation and supervision outside the course hours remain the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians.
Selective support for artistic development.
A limited number of full or partial tuition scholarships may be available for a confirmed edition. Scholarships are competitive and are assessed from the complete application, artistic level, potential, motivation and programme fit.
Scholarships apply to course tuition only. They do not cover the CHF 40 application fee, accommodation, travel, meals, insurance, personal coaching or the optional photoshoot. The number and value of awards, eligibility and deadline are published only after confirmation. Admission does not automatically include a scholarship; every award becomes valid only through written confirmation from ART of.

After admission, the course fee must normally be paid within 14 days to secure the participant’s place. Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Payment details are provided with the admission confirmation.
The full course fee must be received before the start of the intensive. Payment by instalments may be possible upon prior agreement.
