Scholarship
ART of offers a limited number of full and partial tuition scholarships for selected dancers participating in the ART of - Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich.
The scholarship programme is designed to support talented and highly motivated dancers who demonstrate strong artistic potential, technical ability, commitment and a clear purpose for participating in the intensive.
Scholarship selection is competitive and is based on the complete application, submitted artistic material, audition video and motivation letter.
Admission to the ART of - Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich does not automatically guarantee a scholarship.
What the scholarship covers
Scholarships apply to course tuition only.
A Full Scholarship covers 100% of the applicable course tuition.
A 50% Scholarship covers 50% of the applicable course tuition.
A scholarship may be applied to one ART of course only and is valid only for the edition and participation period confirmed in writing by ART of.
Scholarships do not cover
- the CHF 40 application fee
- accommodation or housing
- travel to and from Zurich
- meals and drinks
- insurance
- optional photography or media services
- individual coaching
- other personal expenses
The CHF 40 application fee remains payable by every scholarship applicant, including applicants who are subsequently awarded a full tuition scholarship.

Scholarship places are strictly limited. Meeting the application requirements does not create an entitlement to admission or to a scholarship.
Scholarships apply to course tuition only and are valid for the participation period confirmed by ART of.
How to apply
To be considered for an ART of - Zurich 2027 Scholarship, applicants must submit a complete scholarship application before the published scholarship deadline.
Please submit:
- the fully completed ART of - Zurich application form
- one portrait photograph
- two dance photographs in dance attire
- a link to your audition video
- a motivation letter
- the CHF 40 application fee
The motivation letter should briefly explain:
- your artistic and training background
- your current level of training
- your goals as a dancer
- why you would like to participate in the ART of - Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich
- why you are applying for a scholarship
All submitted documents should clearly include the applicant’s full name.
If scholarship materials are sent separately from the online application, please use the subject:
Scholarship Application · ART of - Zurich 2027 · [Applicant Name]
and send them to:
Incomplete scholarship applications may not be considered.
Audition video requirements
The audition video should be approximately 5–10 minutes long.
The dancer’s full body should remain clearly visible throughout the exercises and variation.
The video should include:
- barre work
- centre practice
- a short classical or contemporary variation
- pointe work for female applicants training at an appropriate advanced or pre-professional level
Professional filming is not required.
The purpose of the audition video is to allow the ART of selection team to assess the dancer’s current technical level, artistic qualities, musicality and movement potential.
The video may be submitted as a private or unlisted online link. Please ensure that the link remains accessible throughout the scholarship selection period.
Application fee
A CHF 40 application fee must be received as part of the scholarship application process.
Payment may be made by bank transfer or PayPal according to the payment information provided during the application process.
Any bank, transaction or PayPal charges must be covered by the applicant so that ART of receives the application fee in full.
The application fee is separate from course tuition, is not covered by a scholarship and is non-refundable in accordance with the current Terms and Conditions.
Scholarship application deadline
1 March 2027
The complete application must include:
- application form
- required photographs
- audition video
- motivation letter
- CHF 40 application fee
Applications received after the scholarship deadline may still be considered for regular admission, subject to availability, but will normally no longer be considered for a scholarship.
Applicants are encouraged to submit their scholarship application well before the deadline.
Selection and scholarship decision
Scholarship applications are assessed on the basis of the complete submitted material.
The selection considers the dancer’s:
- current technical level
- artistic potential
- musicality and coordination
- quality and clarity of movement
- motivation and commitment
- training background
- suitability for the level and artistic profile of the ART of Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich
Scholarship decisions are made separately from general admission.
Successful applicants will receive written confirmation from ART of specifying the scholarship awarded and, in the case of a partial scholarship, the remaining tuition amount to be paid.
A scholarship is valid only after written confirmation from ART of.
Important
A scholarship application does not guarantee admission to the ART of Ballet Summer Intensive Zurich, and admission to the intensive does not guarantee a scholarship.
Scholarship places are strictly limited. Decisions of the scholarship selection process are final.
